Text Bands from Hallmark Cards makes debut |

The Text Band, a product from Hallmark, allows up to a 10 character message to be typed into it, and then the messages are passed from bracelet to bracelet by bumping fists, or high-fiving each other. The bands will roll out in Hallmark stores in July. On Friday, Camp Fire USA campers at the Camp Rotary in Lee's Summit, Missouri received a bracelet to try out. Each camper had to take an oath to only send positive messages, which echoes one of the themes of the camp, which strives to teach kids to respect each other. TODD FEEBACK/The Kansas City Star
