The second annual Great Midwest Balloon Fest started on Friday, July 8, at the Great Mall of the Great Plains in Olathe. The three-day event, which concludes Sunday, features dozens of hot-air balloons, food, children’s activities and even balloon rides. Tickets are $10 at the gate and free for children 12 and under.
